This Steinway B semi-concert grand piano was originally crafted in New York in 2012. Purchased new from Steinway Hall in 2012, it has been extremely well cared for by a sole private owner in Connecticut for its entire lifetime. The owner is relocating to a new space that cannot accommodate the instrument, so they've asked us to help find it a new home.
As one would expect of a Steinway of such recent vintage, this is a magnificent piece that will be a welcome addition to any setting, equally suitable for public performance or private enjoyment. Its tone is rich, broad, and nuanced, and it has a lovely, responsive action. It will easily provide decades of musical enjoyment to its next owner. All original Steinway parts are intact and in excellent working order. It presents a rare opportunity: A breathtaking modern Steinway B in a beautiful polished ebony cabinet, all at a dramatic savings versus a comparable new instrument.
This is not a term we use lightly. It shows virtually no visible wear cosmetically or musically and it plays with a consistency and depth of musical character that would normally be reserved for a brand new Steinway.
This gorgeous piano features Steinway's Ebony Polish Polyester finish, which is a recently-introduced and extremely rare finish for New York Steinways. For years, this finish was available exclusively on Steinway's Hamburg instruments. It further enhances the uniqueness of this marvelous piano.
This magnificent 6'11'' (211cm) grand piano is often referred to as ''the perfect piano.'' It’s a wonderfully balanced and versatile piano that does extremely well in intimate settings, teaching studios, and mid-sized venues.
The Steinway & Sons Model B (also known as the ''Music Room Grand'') is a piano designed for spacious homes, smaller recital halls, auditoriums, and broadcasting, recording, or professional studios.
For more than a century and a half, the world’s most accomplished pianists have preferred to express their musical genius on Steinway & Sons pianos. The list includes the giants in classical, jazz, and popular music; the men and women who have shaped the world’s musical heritage. Today, more than 98 percent of the world’s active concert pianists choose to perform on Steinway pianos. The joy of playing and owning a Steinway piano, however, is not the exclusive domain of the virtuosi. Rather, it is a world open to all who share a love of music, fine craftsmanship and enduring quality.
