About Ritmüller and Pearl River Pianos

Originating in 1795 in Gottingen, Germany, the Ritmüller brand was re-launched in 2001 under the auspices of the Pearl River Piano Group.

Established in 1956 in Guangzhou, China, Pearl River Piano Group has become the largest piano manufacturer in the world, with a production of over 125,000 pianos annually by more than 4,000 workers. How can I get to know a piano if I don't see it in person?

How can I be sure of the condition of one of your pianos?

Before it is listed on our site, every piano we receive is disassembled, inspected, detailed, tuned, repaired, and/or adjusted by our team of piano experts to bring it to showroom-quality standards of playability. Warranties accompany every piano listed in our standard preowned piano categories.

We welcome and encourage third-party inspections of any piano in our inventory by an independent piano technician of your choice. Buyers shopping from outside of the Northeast US can often hire an independent technician to inspect a piano on their behalf prior to purchasing.
