With the comparable new Steinway S in the Crown Jewel Mahogany finish priced over $89,000, you'll appreciate the tremendous value of this quality preowned specimen.
For over 150 years, Steinway & Sons have been making the finest handmade pianos in the world and have set an uncompromising standard for sound, touch, beauty and investment value. Preferred overwhelmingly by 9 out 10 concert artists, composers, performers and countless piano enthusiasts.
At 5'1'' (155 cm), this piano is the smallest of the Steinway grands. This design was introduced in the 1930s to invite the majesty of the Steinway sound into almost any space.
While this instrument is in very good mechanical and playing condition, the finish exhibits some areas of imperfection commensurate with age. Most notable are some hairline cracks in the topmost layer of the finish which are visible primarily under direct light. This is purely cosmetic in nature and is very common in wood-finish Steinways; they are unlikely to detract substantially from this piano's overall visual presentation in most settings.
