The Yamaha Disklavier DG2 5'8'' grand piano may be the ideal home instrument for serious pianists. Big enough to produce a wonderful tone but small enough to fit in many rooms. This piano built new in 1994; it was in a private home and was well maintained.
Over the years, the Yamaha G and C series became very similar in design. By the mid-1990s the design of the G2 so closely resembled the larger C-series grands that Yamaha decided to simplify their product lines by renaming the G2, making it the new model C2X. In most respects, this mid-90s G2 differs from the much more expensive C2 in name only; it makes this piano a tremendous value.
Japanese pianos feature high-polish finishes almost exclusively - it's extremely rare that we come across one in a satin ebony finish. It's a great choice for more classic interiors and rooms where a high-polished piano would be inappropriate. It's a fantastic musical instrument in a package that is very aesthetically appealing.
