How large is this piano?
All grand pianos have virtually identical Width and Height. Length is the only dimension that varies dramatically from one grand piano to the next.
Why is Length important? Longer pianos allow for longer strings and greater soundboard surface area, so they usually produce more sound than smaller pianos, but they naturally occupy more space.
What size should I buy? Most industry professionals recommend choosing the longest piano that your space can comfortably accommodate.

Originally crafted in New York in 1919, this instrument has undergone significant restoration work over the last few decades, with additional work just performed by our technicians to ensure a great playing experience for many years to come.
The following restoration work was performed over the past few decades at the direction of the previous owner:
- New pinblock
- New strings and tuning pins
- Original Steinway soundboard repaired and refinished
- Harp regilt
- Original figured mahogany finish French polished
Upon arrival at our shop, our technicians enhanced its playing experience by installing an all new action (wippens, hammers, shanks, and flanges). We're confident that it will be a great choice for a buyer looking for a 'ready to play' Steinway in a classic American finish, all without breaking the budget.

At 5' 10¾'' (180 cm), the Model O is the largest of Steinway’s “small grands.” This piano is large enough to satisfy those who demand a full, rich sound, yet sized to fit in almost any home.

While this instrument is in excellent mechanical and playing condition, the finish exhibits some areas of incidental cosmetic wear commensurate with age.
