A unique decorator piano!

This Schimmel 44" upright piano, model 112-LS, was made in Germany in 1990.  It has been privately owned and is ready for a new home.  If you've been looking for a piano that breaks the typical aesthetic conventions of modern pianos, please have a look at the unique, individual character of this European instrument.

The cabinet features beautiful decorator inlays and oval grain patterns.  It features a grand-style top lid with a prop stick.

Most uniquely, the piano features twin built-in piano lamps that illuminate the music desk in a very attractive fashion.  The lamps fold into the piano when the cabinet is closed.

A lovely musical instrument.

In addition to its casework, this Schimmel piano is a remarkably nice musical instrument as well.  Tone and touch are both great - it has a nice richness and depth that belies its German heritage.

  • Includes matching adjustable artist bench.

Condition notes

This piano is all-original and in good overall cosmetic and musical condition.  There are a few cosmetic wear marks commensurate with age.  Most notable are some hairline cracks in the topmost layer of the finish which are visible primarily under direct light; these are purely cosmetic in nature and are unlikely to affect this piano's aesthetic presentation in virtually any setting.
