This 6'1'' Wurlitzer grand piano was originally manufactured in 1989 and has been privately owned. It's a great opportunity to get a nicely-sized, quality musical instrument at a very affordable price.
We were particularly impressed by the tone of this instrument. It is noticeably fuller, richer, and more resonant than many of the other grands we encounter at this price point, owing to its 6'1'' cabinet.
Acoustically speaking, grand pianos which are 5'7" to 6'1" in length are almost ideally sized for an even, balanced tone across the entire instrument. Large enough to accommodate bass strings that give the instrument power, volume, and fullness, but not so large that the bass overpowers the treble register. It's optimally sized to give you the smoothest, most even transitions from the very bottom to the top. You're going to love it!
The Wurlitzer brand has a long legacy of building quality musical instruments dating back to 1853. In the late 1980s Wurlitzer pianos were manufactured by Young Chang, one of the world's largest and most respected piano manufacturers. This piano was manufactured in Korea, during a time in which both of the major Korean manufacturers (Samick and Young Chang) produced many instruments at a high quality level. These instruments have proven to be extremely resilient over time and we are always very happy to have them in our showroom.
