Help me find a piano like this
Do you own a piano like this? We may be able to help you sell it!
This Steinway Model A was originally crafted in New York in 1878. It was the personal instrument of a well respected and nationally recognized piano technician from our local area, and it will be a welcome addition to the home of anyone who appreciates classic American pianocraft.
All elements of this instrument's classic Victorian-era case are intact, including lattice music rack and hand-carved "fire plug" Empire-styled legs and lyre.
This Model A received substantial restoration work while in possession of the technician who previously owned it. The interior and action of the instrument were fully restored a few decades ago, resulting in a very enjoyable playing experience, with an even, responsive feel and robust voice. Restoration included an all new action (wippens, hammers, shanks, and flanges), new soundboard, pinblock, and bridges. More recently, in the 2000s, the rosewood cabinet was fully refinished.
This piano represents a great opportunity to own a pianist-caliber Steinway, ready to play, with beautiful Victorian appointments at a tremendous value.
For over 150 years, Steinway & Sons have been making the finest handmade pianos in the world and have set an uncompromising standard for sound, touch, beauty and investment value. Preferred overwhelmingly by 9 out 10 concert artists, composers, performers and countless piano enthusiasts.
