Kawai 5'1'' Baby Grand Piano GE-1 Satin Walnut

A handsome, quality grand piano.

This 5'1'' Kawai baby grand piano, model GE-1, was built in 1990 and was privately owned. It is in very good, original overall condition and is ready for a new home. It will be a great choice for a home that needs a quality, well-built piano but can't accommodate a large instrument.

Beautiful tone.

The tone of this baby grand is extremely pleasing. We found it to have a smooth, lyrical quality and a surprising richness considering its compact size.

Rare satin walnut finish.

Japanese pianos feature high-polished ebony finishes almost exclusively - it's extremely rare that we come across one in a satin walnut finish.  It's a great choice for more classic interiors and rooms where a black piano would be inappropriate.

A legacy of fine piano-making.

Founded in 1927 by Japan's first piano-maker Koichi Kawai, Kawai Musical Instruments is widely regarded within the piano community as one of the world's finest production piano builders.  They are equal (if not superior) to Yamaha's Japan-made pianos in terms of build quality, durability, longevity, and musicality.

The Kawai GE series piano is the choice of many professional players.  It provides a tone most often desired in a performance setting as a church or auditorium, and will be a fabulous home instrument as well. Attention to detail separates the Kawai pianos from the other makers.  It is truly one of the world's finest pianos.
