About August Förster pianos

Friedrich August Förster opened his piano factory in 1859 in Löbau, Germany, after studying the art of piano making for many years. His factory is still in existence today under the supervision of Annekatrin Förster (the fifth generation of the family in the business), employing a staff of 40 highly skilled crasftmen who build a small number of very high quality instruments each year.
