This Baldwin Model R 5'8'' grand piano was built in the United States in 1990. The Model R is extremely well regarded among pianists as a top-grade performance piano, more comparable in tone and musical character to the larger Steinway O or L than the Steinway M.

Players will appreciate the mellowness and warmth of this piano's voice. It provides a nice richness that will work well with European concert music repertory and will be a great piano for a Classical performer. A heavier hand produces a surprising amount of power, especially considering the instrument's size.

Before it is listed on our site, every piano we receive is disassembled, inspected, detailed, tuned, repaired, and/or adjusted by our team of piano experts to bring it to showroom-quality standards of playability. Warranties accompany every piano listed in our standard preowned piano categories.

We welcome and encourage third-party inspections of any piano in our inventory by an independent piano technician of your choice. Buyers shopping from outside of the Northeast US can often hire an independent technician to inspect a piano on their behalf prior to purchasing.
